Jensen needs a loving home.

Kerry See - Tuesday, October 30, 2012
Jensen found his way to my apartment building a week ago. I trapped him the eve before Hurricane Sandy hit.  The plan was to test, treat, neuter, foster and home him.  Despite our hospital closing without our knowledge, we made it to their 24 hour facility.  Jensen was tested, vaccinated, de-wormed and neutered.  Unfortunately, he tested positive for FIV.  This complicates my re-homing plan. FIV+ kitties can live a normal happy life.  There is very little risk of transmission to other kitties once the affected kitty is fixed.  Transmission of the virus occurs through deep bite wounds or sexual contact.  Jensen can go to a home where he will be the only kitty or to a home where the exisitng kitty residents are peaceful.  I am also looking to place him in a sanctuary that has a  FIV+ colony or with a rescue group specializing in FIV+ kitties.  I am willing to make a donation to any group who accepts him.  Thank you for caring and sharing.
